I can't be the only girl that steals their boyfriend/fiancé/husband's clothes right!? Especially on those days where it feels like I have "NOTHING" to wear, somehow his clothes feel the most appealing. My go-to pieces from his wardrobe are the comfy sweaters, oversized t-shirts, and button downs!
Before just throwing on a piece from his closet and calling it a day, I always add a little touch to it to me it more "me" and a bit more flattering than just leaving it as it. This time around, I wanted to look a tiny bit more put together, but I didn't want to look like it was "casual Friday" at an office job. So instead of just tucking in this striped button-down, I cropped it by tieing the front- that trick worked perfectly with my high-waisted jeans and helped accentuate the waist!
Next adjustment I made to the shirt was to roll up the sleeves, that instantly gives the look a more laidback vibe that I was going for! It really helped balance the look, and I really forgot I was even wearing Allen's shirt at this point- lol!
I've raved about these jeans already on my Instastories (if you're not following me on Instagram yet, click here!) BUT, just in case you've missed it, let me tell you the main reason why they've become my go-to. I always have a hard time finding jeans that fit comfortably around my waist without being tight on my hips or thighs. I can wear this ASOS pair ALL DAY without having the "ugh, can't wait to take my jeans off" feeling!
I paired the button down and jeans with one of my favorite pointed flat mules that I got from Topshop along with my gold metallic purse from Zara! I'm so in love with this purse because even tho its gold, it's basically a neutral bag that goes with every outfit! I had to force myself to stop wearing it every single day- my obsession with it was getting out of control!
I layered on some of my everyday jewelry, and that really completed the look! I also vlogged some of this day for my Youtube channel so you can watch that video of us going home decor shopping here.
