I've been doing a little makeup shopping, and I wanted to share my thoughts on every product! I've also posted a video about all of these products so make sure to scroll to the end of the page to see how I apply each one! Now let's get into the haul!!
Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer
I got this concealer in the shade Dark so I could use it to contour/bronze up the face without using powders! Also, I love how it's a waterproof formula, so it makes it perfect for the hotter months!! I love how it blended out onto the skin and looked really natural. I think with the shade I chose, it'll definitely look better once I have a tan! I love Urban Decay concealers, and this one is for sure a new favorite!
Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder & Veil Powder Brush
I've already written a full in-depth review on these two products so I won't get into it too much here but, wow! If you have dry, combination or normal skin, you're going to love this powder. It sets the makeup all while keeping the skin looking fresh and glowy. Since I have an oily t-zone, I just set that area with a different powder and then use the Hourglass Translucent Powder for the rest! The Veil Powder Brush is a total must-have as well!
Shayla X Colourpop Luster Dust Loose Highlighter & Lipstick
I love all of Shayla's makeup looks, so I had to try out her collab with Colourpop! Unfortunately, a lot of the products sold out really quickly so I was only able to get my hands on the "Boomin'" highlight and "Quickie" lipstick but oh my god, love them both SO much! The highlight sits on the skin in the most beautiful way, and you can really build it up to pop even more if that's the type of look you like! For the lipstick in the shade "Quickie," I love everything about it from the formula to the shade. It's such a pretty peachy nude, and I can see myself using it a lot!
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil
If you've seen any of my recent videos, then you know I've been struggling with my brows- lol. For some reason, I'm just not loving how they've been looking so I wanted to try out this brow product by Hourglass, and I'm SO happy with the results. The pencil is in a triangular shape which at first I thought would make it complicated when it came to the application, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to fill in the gaps! I got mine in the shade Dark Brunette :)
Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
Another new item I got for my eyebrows is this brow gel by Hourglass. I have been using my NYX brow mascara for a long time now- and I've been so loyal to it- but I wanted to try something new! This brow gel works SO well. The brush itself has shorter bristles on one side and longer on the other. If you want to have more color and product deposited on your brows, then use the shorter side, but if you're like me and you crave that "natural" fluffy look, then the longer bristles are the way to go! I also chose the shade Dark Brunette for this as well!
Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra Skinny Gel Eye Crayon
I've loved every Marc Jacobs product I've tried, and I'm such a huge fan of their Highliners, so I wanted to give their Fineliners a try too! I got mine in the shade Berry to help my brown eyes pop a little, but since it's a darker purple, you can barely tell it's a colored liner which I love! I used this to tight-line and also applied it to my waterline, and the pencil lasted ALL DAY! That's my favorite thing about Marc Jacobs Eyeliners; they don't budge!
Elcie Cosmetics Lashfull Mascara
Lastly, Elcie Cosmetics Lashfull Mascara. In a recent video, I shared how much I love their foundation, so I've been eyeing their other products and thought I'd give their mascara a shot! I'm SO picky when it comes to mascaras since my lower lashes are long and they can transfer super easily on my under eyes, but this passed the test! It really volumized my lashes and made them look fuller- as the name suggests, ha!- and didn't flake off throughout the day!
That's everything for now! I'm so happy with all of the new products I got. When I buy makeup, I'm so selective because I want to get things I'll actually use up entirely and not let the products sit and collect dust lol. To me, a smaller collection of amazing products is worth so much more than a whole bunch of random things I never touch! Next time I gather a few more new beauty bits, I'll be sure to do another video/blog post like this one so stay tuned!!
